On Thursday, Los Angeles Angels placed the third master Yoan Moncada on a 10 -day wounded list with a right thumbfire.
The 29 -year -old Moncada initially damaged his thumb in mid -March and was trying to play through injury.
In the first season with Los Angeles, he hits .190 (4 for 21) with two pairs and four RBIs in eight games.
Moncada signed a one -year $ 5 million agreement in February after eight seasons with Chicago White Sox.
In the relevant moves, the angels introduced an infielder JD Davis of Triple-A Salt Lake and appointed Jack Dashwood for the task.
