All of us were left mesmerised and questioned our existence when a certain 14-year-old, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, walloped Shardul Thakur for a hammering six inside-out. As if playing at this tender age in the IPL is not enough, the Rajasthan Royals (RR) teenager announced his prodigious talent with aplomb.
Replacing captain Sanju Samson was the least of the concerns for Suryavanshi, who played with superb attitude and mettle. In his debut game, he left everyone awestruck, hitting two international pacers, Thakur and Avesh Khan, for handsome sixes.
