CEO Venky supports KKR with ongoing struggles, remembering the 2014 title win

Kolkata Knight Riders CEO Venky Mysore, despite the stuttering campaign this season, threw its weight behind the team, and called on the players to get the players to inspire the drama of Gautam Gambhir in the 2014 season. The champions defending the fifth defeat in eight games on Sunday and fell into 39 runs to Gujarat Titans in Gardens. On the board with only six points, KKR faces a mission uphill in his offerings to reach the playoffs and continues to contense at least five of the remaining six matches.
“This is a very flexible team, the knight rider. This is our 18th season, we have always been in three.” He said.
He remembered his campaigns when they returned in 2014 and 2021, won the title and finally reached.
“I have two examples in my mind that I have always shared with new people entering the installation …
“In 2014, we just won two in the semi -stage and lost five, but in 2014 you know what happened, we broke an IPL record and won nine games in Trot and won IPL.
“After that we played the Champions League and we won five in a row. So there is 14 victory records in a row. It was not a flash in this pan. In 2021, we had two wins and five losses, we continued to play the final.
“So everything can happen in this format. Mysore called on fans and critics not to catch too much to the league table and stressed that IPL’s unpredictability often offers unexpected feedback.
“Sometimes you get caught in IPL, we see the table, win and losses … Then you put something on the perspective – there is a life beyond the table, winnings and losses – and you can get inspiration from anywhere. The experience we have, certainly can curl something.” Franchise, former assistant coach Abhishek Nayar brought back. Nayar, who briefly separated his ways with KKR to join India as an assistant coach, returned only one day after his contract was terminated.
The timing of Nayar’s return would not be more important, because the dough of the team entered a challenging stage and wanted to re -group and reset.
Captain Ajinkya Rahane, who showed a fixed form but could not carry the team on the line, as well as the rest of the shot series was under pressure.
Rahane expressed the joy at Nayar’s return and described it as an invaluable part of the ECR Ecosystem.
“It is nice to return Abhishek to the installation. He’s got an important member of that side. As players, we’re all really happy to see him back.
“Really passionate, he knows each player. The role in this team is really important, so we’re all really happy.” He said.
