New Delhı: Former Indian cricket player Ravichandran Ashwin was given to Padma Shri by President Droupadi Murmu during a ceremony in Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. BCCI shared a video of Honor on Ashwin’s official X branch. Padma Shri, Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan, then India’s fourth highest civilian award.
Known as one of India’s best spin pottery, Ashwin received prestigious honor for his extraordinary contribution to the jack.
Ashwin played an important role in the victories of India in the 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Cup.
In the test jack, Ashwin has 537 small gates out of 106 games and has India’s second highest small door receiver in format. He also scored 3,503 running, including six centuries, and exhibited his multi -faceted mastery.
In limited formats, Ashwin bought 156 small doors in ODIs and 72 small doors in the T20Is.
WRISTWATCH:
Last year, he retired from the international cricket after the boxing day test against Australia in the Melbourne Cricket field of India.
Currently, Ashwin continues to take part in the domestic cricket representing the ongoing Chennai Super Kings India Premier League 2025 season.
