Nat Sciver-Brunt has been appointed as the new captain of the England women’s cricket team, marking a significant milestone in her illustrious career. The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced her appointment on April 29, 2025, following Heather Knight’s resignation after a nine-year tenure. Sciver-Brunt will lead England across all three formats, ushering in a new era alongside recently appointed head coach Charlotte Edwards.

Known for her exceptional all-round abilities, she has played 259 matches across formats, amassing impressive statistics: an average of 46.47 in Tests, 45.91 in ODIs, and 28.45 in T20Is, along with 181 international wickets. Her leadership experience includes captaining England during the 2022 Commonwealth Games and stepping in for Heather Knight during the T20 World Cup.
