Houston Dynamo again signed his defender Erik Sviatchenko until 2026 with a club option for 2027 on Tuesday.
33 -year -old Sviatchenko in his third season with Houston. All competitions took place in 78 matches (71 beginnings).
“Erik has made a significant contribution to our success in the center of our defense since we came to Houston and in the last two seasons.” He said. “We are pleased that Erik is attached to Houston, and this season, we are looking forward to the ongoing contributions to a third consecutive playoff appearance.”
The Danish native has contributed to 20 clean pages since it arrived in March 2023, and this season has a goal and four assists in the MLS competition, including three.
“This is a very big moment in this journey. Houston was at home for me and my family, and I really believe what we were building in the club.” He said. “I would like to thank the fans for their energies, passions and unchanging supports – they are the heart of this club.”
Before MLS, Sviatchenko played 325 games and won five championships with FC Midtjylland in Denmark and played six games at Celtic FC in Scotland in 63 games.
