The former Indian cricket team Dough Sanjay Manjrekar said that the success of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s ongoing IPL 2025 could be attributed to teamwork, not any individual brightness. Manjrekar in the column for Hindustan Times wrote that RCB has six different players in seven wins – it is a fact that they click as a team. In the past, RCB, Virat Kohli, EU de Villiers and Chris Gayle was extremely dependent on big names. However, even with Virat’s brilliant performance this year, Manjrekar wrote that team work was a great sign.
“For beginners, the RCB in seven wins so far has had six different players as a match player with Krunal Pandya’s twice. Basically, RCB had many different heroes throughout the season, and this is always a team that is not dependent on several players to win matches.”
“Individual brightness can win some matches, but you need multiple bright infusion through different sources to win continuously. As in other formats, the bowling attack that separates a team is important;
Manjrekar found himself a little controversial for Virat’s comments on the strike rate, which resulted in Virat’s brother Vikas – he made an excavation on social media. He doubled in the former Indian star analysis, and although he tended to praise the media doughs, he said that RCB bowls were real heroes.
“Our media tends to focus too much on the dough, but this is another situation in which the fruits are in the light of spotlight, but the potteryists who scored the points. Krunal Pandya played twice for RCB this season, but how many times did he make headlines or really?”
