Insperity Invitational did not go far away on Friday before the first round was stopped due to lightning near the Woodlands (Texas) Country Club.

All of the 78 players on the field had entered the course, but none of them had finished their tours. The first round will continue on Saturday before the second round played at 07:45.

When the horn was heard, eight players were shined: Brett Quigley, Billy Andrade, Ken Tanigawa, Chad Campbell, Thongchai Jaide of Thailand, Canada Mike Weir, South Korea Yang and Ernie Els of South Africa.

Billy Mayfair and Argentina were connected to Ricardo Gonzalez 3.

Quigley had three birds in a row to reach number 4, then touched 5 to 5 with a bird in number 15 before dipping the hole below. He had two holes to play when he was called from the course.

Quigley, “Yes, one and a half (hole). I am in Fairway at 17.” He said. “So, yes, it's a bum, but tomorrow everyone should deal with it because no one is over.

“… Not unusual. We're waiting, so it's not very important.”

Andrade began a tour with three birds in the back nine and added the fourth to the first hole Par-5. It was without Bogey and it was three holes from finishing his tour.

Andrade, “We all want to finish, so we can sleep a little.” He said. “And then you have to go back there at 7:45, especially in our age. But this is. And you just have to accept it and you should go forward.
