Rangers hires the old All-Star Bret Boone as a hit coach

In a statement on Monday, the team returns to the Bret Boone American League West, this time as a new shot coach for Texas Rangers.

Boone, who played about half of 14 years with Seattle Mariners, will join Rangers's counter for Tuesday's TV series on Tuesday's Boston Red Sox.
