Ayush Mhatre, Musheer Khan, Tanush Kotian T20 Mumbai League is among the basic attraction centers

With the franchisees that create strategy to create ideal combinations, auction, teams try to secure the best skills before the tournament promises high -betting and violent competition.

The highly anticipated auction for the T20 Mumbai League 2025 is set to take place on Wednesday, with approximately 280 players vying for spots in franchise squads. Season 3 of the tournament, featuring eight teams, will be held at the iconic Wankhede Stadium from May 26 to June 8.

Among the standout attractions in the player pool are rising stars such as 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre, whose stellar performances in IPL 2025 have grabbed attention, alongside Angkrish Raghuvanshi, Tanush Kotian, and Musheer Khan. The auction will also feature seasoned domestic circuit performers like Siddhesh Lad and Shams Mulani, ensuring a competitive and talent-packed selection process.

With franchises strategizing to craft their ideal combinations, the auction promises high-stakes bidding and fierce competition as teams look to secure the best talents ahead of the tournament.

T20 Mumbai League auction details

The player pool has been strategically divided into three categories: Senior Player, which includes those who feature in First-Class, List A, or T20 matches, Emerging Player, comprising cricketers who have represented Mumbai at the U-23 or U-19 level in the past three years, and Development Player, which features talented local and club-level players.

The base prices are set at ₹5 lakh for Senior Player, ₹3 lakh for Emerging Player, and ₹2 lakh for Development Player. Teams are required to include four senior players and at least five emerging players and five development players in their final squad of a minimum of 18 members. Icon players have been signed at a fixed price of ₹20 lakh.

Each team is required to spend a minimum of ₹80 lakh from their purse of ₹1 crore for the season. Additionally, teams are required to buy at least two players born on or after September 1, 2005, and include at least one of these players in their playing XI.
