“Captain shape …”: Rohit Sharma’s test retirement

He may claim that he had played very few crickets in India and that he had seized the national team like Rohit Sharma, the legendary multi -faceted gate giant, Maestro’s retirement immediately put into force, he said. The 38 -year -old was the most productive test dough in India in the second half of his career and received 4301 points and runs in an average of 40.57 in 12 hundred and 18 half centuries and 67 tests. “He did a great job, he played a good jack. Throughout time, the way he carried out himself, the way he seized, and most importantly the way he played his jack – because very few have played like this in India,” he said in a special interview with the Kapil PTI videos.
“I congratulate him for a great career.” Rohit, who retired from T20 International after the World Cup last year, will now lead India only in ODI format.
“Hello everyone, I just want to share that I have retired from the test jack. It was an absolute honor to represent my country in whites,” PTI published a picture of PTI’s test cover after Newsbreak.
Rohit’s retirement from traditional format means that India will need to name a new full -time captain immediately after the end of the IPL 2025, and India’s five test series in England is planned to begin on June 20 at Headingley.
When asked who was the best candidate to lead the Indian test team in the coming years, he said that only the captain is the job of the selection.
“Some things and responsibilities should be left for the selections. They will find the new captain. We shouldn’t give our views too much because the selections have jobs and when they are related to the Indian team, they will do their work with responsibility.
“Who they bring as a captain will be the best for the Indian team. Although it is difficult to replace Rohit, someone should take this responsibility.”
Rohit also reported that the next World Cup will continue to play the ODI format planned to be held in 2027.
Kapil said it was good that Rohit still had a hunger of playing 50 games.
“Everyone wants to play cricket – Sachin, Gavascar, everyone wanted to play. But this is also dependent on the selections. He wants to play. Everyone wants to play and win the World Cup, but some things should be left to the selections.” Speaking about the emergence of young talents in IPL 2025, Kapil emphasized the need to stay patient and protect them.
“We have to give some time to these young people. The talents are there, but they will be big … I think they need a little more time. These young people should be protected.
“We need to see and define the next Sachin Tendulkar, the next Sunil Gavascar or the next Rohit Sharma. The future will say,” he said.
