Asian Cup 2025 will be postponed, BCCI-ICC woman to discuss the fate of WC, T20 WC later

As the tensions between India and Pakistan increase, the fate of the Asian Cup, the Women’s World Cup and the T20 World Cup stand in balance. BCCI says the government will follow the directives.
India is once again on the verge of war with its neighbor Pakistan. India launched Sindoor operation after a cowardly attack that killed 26 tourists in Pakistan terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan in Jammu & Kashmir, who killed 26 tourists. India’s response encouraged Pakistan to retaliate. But the timing could not be worse than the cricket context. India will host the Asian Cup in August-September 2025, the ODI World Cup in September-October and the T20 World Cup in February-March 2026.
Although India is not officially in war with Pakistan, all three events are now in danger. Neither the BCCI nor the ICC have confirmed whether the events would be affected by the current situation. The ICC, led by former BCCI secretary Jay Shah, holds a close tab, and so is BCCI. Mohsin Naqvi, Chief of Board of Directors of Pakistan Cricket, who is also a cabin minister, is chaired by the Asian Cricket Council.
“We don’t know yet. The situation is developing and the Asian Cup and the Women’s World Cup still 4-5 months left. With ICC, there was no discussion about the shift or postponement of places. We watch the situation and we will get a call when ICC. A BCCI official told Inversport.
The future of India – Pakistan Cricket
War, terrorist or cross -border terrorism never prevented the Pakistan jack against India by preventing the 1971 war. It took seven years for the two countries to play cricket again. India toured Pakistan in 1978.
The Kargil War in 1999 took place a month after the 1999 World Cup in England. In seven months, however, India played three series in Australia with Pakistan and Australia.
After the 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai in 2008, India played Pakistan in the ICC Champions Cup. However, since 2008, India refused to play Pakistan in any bilateral series. The Inds vs Pak Crick is limited to only the Asian Cup and ICC events. However, competition, ACC and ICC’s largest cash cow never stopped.
After the Pathankot attack in 2016, the India hosted the T20 World Cup and Pakistan visited India. The Uri attack was followed in September 2016 and India was still faced with Pakistan in the Champions Cup again.
In fact, despite cross -border tensions following India’s surgical strikes in Pakistan, there was no effect on the jack. India continued to face Pakistan at Acc and ICC events, including hosting the Pakistan Cricket team in India for the 2023 World Cup.
However, now things are different. It is unlikely that the Indian government will allow the national team to play Pakistan at any cricket event. However, BCCI is waiting for the guidance of Indian Govt.
Former cricketists, including Sourav Ganguly and Current Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir, opposed the Inds VS PAK Crick. BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla has already announced that BCCI would follow the recommendations of the Indian government on the ICC events, although there will be no dual match.

What happens to the Asian Cup 2025?
In all possibilities, the Asian Cup will be postponed. At the summit of tournament and cross-border tension in August-September, there is no way for the tournament to continue compared to the program.
India official host, but according to the agreement between BCCI and PCB, India and Pakistan Cricket matches will be played in neutral places. However, there is no neutrality in the Asian Cup with Mohsin Naqvi responsible for ACC. BCCI Vice President Rajeev Shukla and former Treasurer Ashish Shelalar ACC Board Member. A BCCI official told Invessport what he said.It will support everything our government has taken. ”
Former Indian captain already rang the alarm bells in the Asian Cup and added that even the Asian Cricket Council could be dispersed.
“BCCI’s stance has always been what the Indian government has told them. So I don’t think it will be different when it comes to the Asian Cup. If he cannot see that he is a part of India, he cannot see that he is a part of India, ”he said. Gavascar told Sports today.
What about ICC events?
The tensions between India and Pakistan may occur rapidly. Although there is no clue that it has yet happened. Will this put two major ICC events back? Probably.
Although the Asian Cup has been a war traction between BCCI and PCB for a while, other member states may oppose the idea of having a female ODI World Cup and T20 World Cup in a country in the middle of an armed conflict.
ICC President Jay Shah is the son of India’s home Minister Amit Shah. Therefore, India still has the chance to host tournaments. However, things should cool for this to happen.
Women will go five months before the World Cup and nine months before the T20 World Cup. Until then, everyone will hope to return to normal. However, if not, other countries can put pressure on ICC to remove both tournaments from India. Sri Lanka is the owner of the T20 WC. As for the woman to WC, the ICC will receive a call in the next two months.
