“They were all very scared, Daryl Mitchell said he would never go to Pakistan again”: PSL Star

Bangladesh leg Spinner Rishad Hossain, who played for Lahore Qalandars in 2025 in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), shared scary ordeal in the middle of the increasing tension between Ulus and India. He announced that the overseas players were horrified while trying to get out of Pakistan. Spinner was opened after playing the flights to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), where players tied flights to reach their homes. In particular, the PSL 2025 was suspended hours after the Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) decided to postpone the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 for a week.
“Sam Billings, Daryl Mitchell, Kushal Perera, David Wiese, Tom Curran foreign players like … They were all very scared … Mitchell, who landed in Dubai, said he would never go to Pakistan in such a scenario.
While giving details about how scared the overseas players, Bangladesh Spinner said England Crickter Tom Curran began to cry and needed some people to comfort him in the challenging period.
“(Tom Curran) went to the airport, but heard that the airport was closed. Then he began to cry like a little boy, took two or three people to manage it.” He said.
Nahid Rana was another player who was part of Peshawar Zalmi Franchise from Bangladesh who joined PSL 2025. Rishad announced that he consoled his citizen and gave him hope.
“Nahid Rana was very quiet, perhaps for tension, as I understand. I told him not to be nervous and I hope that nothing would happen.
It was very real that players deal with their families during the raised tensions between India and Pakistan.
“Alhamdulillah, after overcoming a crisis, we reached Dubai and now I feel good.” He said.
“When we heard that a missile hit the airport 20 minutes after getting off from Dubai, 20 minutes after getting up from the airport. The news is scary and scary and sorrowful and now we feel relieved after reaching Dubai.
“Whenever I go to play, my family is worried about whether the situation is good, and now they hear the news about Pakistan-Bomba explosions, and here and when they hear the missiles.
“Personally, I told them to comfort them and not worry about them, and it was quite normal.”
For now, India and Pakistan agreed about wrinkled fire.
