IPL 2025: List of the team of overseas players that are likely to return to restart




The Indian Premier League (IPL) was suspended between the increasing tensions on the Pakistan border last week. However, the tournament will continue on May 17 under the cease -fire agreement with India and Pakistan. According to the updated program, the final will now be played on June 3 instead of May 25 and will arouse suspicion about the existence of foreign players. While the UK and the West Indian Islands will be square in a White Ball series, Australia and South Africa will be square in the last days of the revised IPL 2025 final date.

Let’s take a look at how the franchises are placed in terms of the usability of the players:

Punjab Kings: According to a report in Espncricınfo, three overseas player – Xavier Bartlett, Azmatullah Omarzai and Mitchell Owen – confirmed their usability. However, other overseas players have no approval as to whether Marcus Stoinis, Marco Jansen, Josh Inglis and Aaron Hardie – will return to India.

Rcb: Four players – Josh Hazlewood (Australia), Jacob Bethell (England), Romario Shepherd (West Indian Islands) and Lungi Ngid (South Africa) – have international commitments. Phil Salt and Liam Livingstone are likely to be available in the UK’s white ball team and the duo will be available for the remaining matches.

Mumbai Indians: All overseas players are preparing to participate in the squad again. However, Will Jacks and Corbin Bosch may not be available for playoffs if they are entitled to international commitments. Afghan Spinner Mujeb-Ur-Rahman is also available in the rest of IPL 2025.

Gujarat Titans: Save Jos Buttler and Gerald Coetzee, and all overseas stars decided to stay in India. However, it is not clear whether the NOCs can stick after the league stage of Kagiso Rabada and Sherfane Rutherford.

Srh: Captain Pat Cummins and Travis Head will already start again despite the team out of the playoff race. Heinrich Klaasen agreed to join the squad. However, SRH’s other overseas players – Heinrich Klaasen, Eshan Malinga, Kamindu Mendis and Wiaan Mulder – have no approval as to whether or not.

CSK: Noor Ahmad, Dewald Brewis, Matheesha Pathirana, Devon Conway’s team is expected to participate again. However, there is no clarity on the return of Rachin Ravindra. Sam Curran is expected to join the squad, but Jamie Overton may not be available.

Delhi Capitals: According to Australian media reports, Pacer Mitchell Starc is unlikely to return. Jake Fraser-McGurk’s return has not yet been approved. The rest of the overseas conditions is expected to join the squad in the coming days.

Kkr: Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Rovman Powell, Quinton De Kock and Rahmanullah Gurbaz are also expected to join the squad. However, Moeen Ali and Spencer Johnson’s availability is not clear.

LSG: Aiden blocks Markram, likely to return all overseas players.

Rajasthan Royals: RR is already likely to jump out of the playoff race, the overseas players will jump the remaining matches.
