NFL said on Tuesday that Youtube will publish NFL’s 1st week game in Brazil free of charge to a worldwide audience.
Los Angeles Chargers is scheduled to play on Friday (September 5th) at the Corinthians Arena in Sao Paulo. There are rumors that their competitors are Kansas City Chiefs, but NFL does not publish the entire program until Wednesday night.
This will mark the first special NFL game to be broadcasted live and free of charge on Youtube and Youtube TV.
“We are excited to expand our relationship with Youtube to bring this year’s Brazilian game to a worldwide audience,” NFL’s Vice President of Media Distribution. He said. “Youtube and Youtube TV have been the incredible partners of the NFL for several years and we boast of a tremendous global access and we are looking forward to the 1st week in Sao Paulo.”
NFL played his first match in Brazil to start the 2024 season, and the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Green Bay Packers 34-29 in Sao Paulo on September 6.
Youtube and Youtube TV have been the home of NFL market ticket since the beginning of the 2023 season. NFL has more than 14 million subscribers to the Youtube channel.
“Last year, people spent more than 350 million hours by following the official NFL content on Youtube last year, so it is both appropriate and exciting to continue to create our relationship with our partners in NFL.” He said.
“To transfer the game on Friday night to fans free of charge worldwide, will mark youtube for the first time as a lively NFL publisher – and we will do this at the center of the experience in an interactive monitoring experience and creators in a way that you can only do youtube.”
