PGA Of America officials, this week’s PGA championship to compete to compete with a few members of Liv Golf defended the decisions to expand invitations and management body CEO CEO Derek Sprague “Golf’tek is about having the strongest field,” he said.

Sprague, PGA of America President Don Rea and chief championships officer Kerry Haight asked questions on Tuesday at the annual press conferences before the great championship they ruled. PGA Championship Thursday -Sunday Days Charlotte will be played at Quail Hollow Club in NC

This year’s field with 16 Liv Golfeçü, 15 full -time members with the reserve player John Catlin.

In 2018, 2019 and 2023, PGA champion Brooks Koepka was an automatic invitation like the German Martin Kaymer (2010). The other major winners playing at the LIV circuit – Bryson Dechambeau, Australia Cameron Smith and Spanish Jon Rahm were also invited.

However, some elections were more controversial. Former Masters winner Sergio Garcia, who has not played in the PGA championship since 2022, has been expanded to an invitation like Dustin Johnson, who has not performed well in recent years.

Sprague, Rea and Haigh at a point, the motto of the PGA Championship “Golf’teki the most powerful area,” he said.

“As we have had for many years, we look at every tour that plays golfs around the world, and we’re trying to define the best players.” He said. “When we do this, we definitely look at the score list or money lists or rankings, and we determine who thinks we are better players. The Committee talks and talks about whether we need to present and present them, so I think we can get players from various tours throughout this process.

“This is a worldwide area. So we think that the golf is the most powerful area because of the process we look at and inviting these best players and inviting these best players.”

The PGA of the American system is under the decision of USGA, the first of the four male majors for Liv Golf members to be entitled to the US Open.

Sprague did not share much at her first meetings with O’Neil.

“These are more to meet him.” He said. “I heard and read him from many people in this room. So I met him for the first time (Masters).

“It is definitely looking, recently, the official world golf ranking has been reported. I am sitting on this board. It is encouraged to send an application for the board of the board. I have nothing to report.”
