FC Cincinnati sign M obinna nwobodo extension

FC Cincinnati expanded the contract of Midfielder Obinna Nwobodo until 2027 on Thursday.

The 28 -year -old Nigeria International’s agreement contains a club option for 2028.

Since Nwobodo joined the FCC in April 2022, there are two goals and 11 assists in 117 games (all competitions).

“Since it arrived three years ago, Obi has been a fundamental part of our success.” He said. “A ruthless and extraordinary teammate and leader for our group about how it approaches the game, how it approaches on the field and outside the field.

Nwobodo has now helped to win the 2023 Supportist Shield for Cincinnati, which is currently sitting with a 9-3-1 record (28 points) at the Eastern Conference.
