Derrick White scored 34 points in the match and Boston Celtics defeated the New York Knicks 127-102 on Wednesday in the 5th game of the Eastern Conference Semi-finals.
Knicks leads the seven best 3-2 series and Game 6 will be played in New York on Friday.
White made 13 to 7 shots from 3 points and 9 out of 11 free throw attempts. Boston sank 22 of his 49 shots behind 3-point arc (44.9 percent), and in the second half, the New York 68-43 left behind.
Celtics received 26 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists from Jaylen Brown. Luke Kornet added 10 points, nine rebounds and seven blocks, and Payton Pritchard came out of the counter to make five 3 points and get 17 points.
Jayson, who had undergone surgery to repair the Achilles tendon on the right on Tuesday, was Boston’s second playoff match. Tatum did not play in the 2nd game of Boston’s first round series against Orlando, and Celtics won this game 109-100.
Josh Hart scored the highest 24 points for New York, which hit 29 of 81 from the field (35.8 percent). Jalen Brunson collected 22 points and six assists, but fouls with 7:19 to play. Brunson was called for the fifth foul with 2:45 in the third quarter.
Knicks received 19 points and eight rebounds from Karl-Anthony towns.
Kristaps Porzingis from Boston was limited to 12 minutes and did not play in the second half.
New York was ahead of a quarter of 32-30 and the game was connected to 59-59 between the circuit. The 11-0 run, which was closed by a Pritchard 3-manufacturer, rose to 81-68 in third place, leaving Celtics 7:10 and Boston ranked fourth.
Celtics lasted until 28 in the last 12 minutes.
It was Boston’s first victory in the series.
