Toxicology tests show that Brett Gardner’s son died of carbon monoxide poisoning, he says agency

A research agency in Central American country said on Thursday, former New York Yankees player Brett Gardner’s 14 -year -old son, died of carbon monoxide poisoning last month on vacation in Costa Rica.

Brett and Jessica Gardner said that their sons Miller Gardner died in a peaceful way in his sleep after being sick on March 21, on the other members of the family.

According to Randall Zúñiga, Director of Costa Rica Judicial Investigation Agency, the results of a test for the saturation of carboxhehymoglobin returned to 64% when it was accepted as 50% fatal.

Zúñiga, the young victim was also tested for other drugs in the system and added that they all returned negatively.

At a press conference on Monday, Zúñiga said that when the Miller died, the hotel room where the family stayed was detected at high levels of carbon monoxide contamination.

Costa Rica Judicial Investigation Agency, known as OIJ, said that the initial cause of death was drowning after taking some food, but later it was excluded.

Miller was the youngest of the couple’s two children. A declaration of death on Saturday said that he was loved by his family and those who know him.
