Thousands of people joined the Extreme Right Walk against Le Pen’s election ban
A few thousand protesters attended a Paris rally with the Marine Le Pen of France to protest the ban on the extreme -right figure in the next Presidential elections.
Le Pen, the main speaker of the rally, called the ruling people as an attack and a fight against the facts. Im I won’t give up, dedi he said, insisting that his dignity was chewed.
Le Pen’s party called the national rally (rn) event and expected up to 10,000 participants. The rally seemed to have not completely filled a square at the Paris turning point of Hôtel des Invalides.
On Monday, a court implemented Le Pen, party and other party officials to embezzled EU funds. He was sentenced to a partially suspended imprisonment and was banned from running in elections for five years.
Parallel to the RN rally, two counter protests took place in Paris, a few kilometers away.
According to the organizers, the others gathered in Place de La République after a mobilizing call from the left -wing party La France Insoumise and the Greens.
The opposite protesters showed against the rise of the distant right and called on to support the superiority of law.
Meanwhile, President Emmanuel Macron’s supporters of the Renaissance Party exhibited outside a party meeting on the outskirts of the French capital. Party leader Gabriel Attal accused RN of attacking both judges and French institutions with their actions.
Le Pen objected to the decision, but the proceedings may take a long time to work in the 2027 Presidential elections. The Court of Appeal announced that it would decide until the summer of 2026 at the latest.
