The new universal theme park will be opened in the UK – ‘billions of’ pounds for the economy | Politics News

A new Universal Theme Park in Bedfordshire has been confirmed about what Sir Keir Starmer provided as a “important” day for England.

It will be the first universal branded theme park and its facility in Europe and will be opened in 2031, when England is expected to be the most popular visitor charm.

The government said it would bring an estimated 50 billion pounds to the British economy and will create approximately 28,000 jobs when the construction phase is about 20,000 and hospitality and creative industries.

In addition to the theme park to be built on an old brick works, a 500 -room hotel and retail and entertainment complex are planned.

Speaking in Bedfordshire today, the Prime Minister said that the investment would create “growth” in the British economy while creating “thousands of work for the local community”.

“We will make these things go to people who need them, because this is part of our plan to ensure that England’s work,” he said.

“This will provide growth here and throughout the country.”

The government has not yet given an indication of how much public money has been used to secure the agreement, and the chancellor financial details were “hidden”.

Universal, which belongs to SKY News, the US parent company Comcast, expects the 476 -acre site just south of Bedford to produce approximately £ 50 billion for the economy by 8.5 million visitors in the first year with 8.5 million visitors.

The plan is subject to an official planning decision process from the Ministry of Housing, Community and Local Government.

Universal has committed to work with local colleges and universities to educate students for hospitality.

Some famous universal films include Wicked, Minions, Oppenheimer, Bridget Jones, Fast and Furious and Jurassic World.

There are already five universal theme parks: Florida, Hollywood, Japan, Beijing and Singapore Orlando.

While talking Wilfred Frost Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy at Sky News Breakfast said the agreement was “very big”.

Ms. Nandy, who met the timing of the announcement, said, “This agreement comes after one of the most turbulent weeks in global markets.

The government said that approximately 80% of the employees in the TEMA park are expected to come from local areas, and that conservatives would support the “Oxford-Cambridge corridor”, which was revived by Chancellor after throwing plans for AbingDon-Milton Keynes train connection in 2021.

In addition, it will make a “big investment” in the infrastructure around the universal area to make it well connected and easily accessible.

The announcement comes days after the government approved the expansion of the nearby Luton airport.
