Jos Buttler’s “more desperate to win” entry to defeat the former team Rajasthan Royals

After Gujarat Titans (GT) earned a 58-person profit against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in IPL 2025, Wicketkeeper-Batter Jos Buttler admitted that his former team felt strange to play against Rajasthan Royals. However, he added that he was desperate to win for GT. At the Narendra Modi Stadium, buttler shared a stand with B sai Sudharsan for the second small door, while the GT 217/6 made the GT 217/6 and then Bowling for 159 over the score table.
“It was a bit strange to be on the other side against Rajasthan Royals. But to be honest, I was even more desperate for the win today. I think it was a perfect team of performance. I really enjoy the new challenge.
“I have been hitting number 3 for England lately, so it is not familiar. It usually helps me to come behind the two fantastic openers that leave a strong platform.
Former Indian Fast-Bows Varun Aaron said Sudharsan was in awe of Majestic 82.
“Thinking that Santeep does not offer too much tempo, hitting the cover on the lid when Sai was bowling in a wide way – these two six, which showed that he saw the ball really, were not easy,” he said.
Former South African player Mark Boucher, who coaches Mumbai Indians, felt that the GT was helped by different players who stepped into them in various situations. “They’re really hitting well and the bowling units are also working in harmony. Interestingly, they haven’t threatened with performances before, but they did the job well in the pool.
“How different players take steps in different games. Rashid Khan will receive a lot of confidence by buying two small doors, clearly the best. In general, they were too positive for them. It was a difficult game, but they managed to stay strong on the score table.”
Aaron also agreed with Boucher’s view of GT and said, “Gujarat Titans showed how a complete team looks like. They really invested in young talents. For example, take Shahrukh Khan – although we run for the last few seasons, the team kept faith in him and gave him a clearly defined role.”
“Rahul Tewatia continues to make a reliable contribution that plays its role every year. In the Bowling department, Arshad’s mastery to get small doors contributes to the chipping of everyone, and this is not just one or two stars, but a healthy, good team’s distinguishing feature.”
