Nitish Rana breaks the silence in the appointment of Riyan Parag as a RR stand-in captain

Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson, the Indian Premier League (IPL) at the beginning of the 2025 season struggling with fitness problems, Riyan Parag’a team’s leadership baton was given. Although Samson is suitable for hitting the first few games, there was no fitness to hold or be an outdoor player. Therefore, the management used it as an influence player. Seeing Parag was taking responsibility for the captain of the team.

Rajasthan Royals, who also ruled Knight Riders in the past, was also proposed by several people. However, Rana thinks that the administration has made the right call by giving Parag a leadership role.

“When I was the captain of KKR, I was with the team for 6-7 years. I have helped a lot because I helped.

“If he had asked me, of course, I would have accepted the captain in a happy way. But the most important thing is the right thing for the team. And I think they made the right call.” He said.

Nitish ran for Royals this season with 81 running against Chennai Super Kings. However, since then, it has managed to produce only 12, 1 and 4 points (not outside). However, it is not very uncomfortable, not very uncomfortable and is only eager to fulfill the role given to him by the team.

“The work is very different. Sometimes, the match situation demands something else. Most of the time, the left-right combination becomes very important in a format like IPL. I didn’t have a chance to bat in a few matches.”

“Whatever the team wants from me, I do my best to do it. Previously, I downloaded the order down. Then they asked me if I would be a bat in the third match. I said yes and I scored 80 or more goals. So I’m trying to deliver what the team expects from me. And I’m always good,” Nitish said.
