After a moderate -spirited fight, Gujarat Titans’s chasing against Lucknow Super Giants fell shortly and ended with a difficult defeat. Nevertheless, Sherfane Rutherford of GT was not shaken in the midst of disappointment. In a special conversation with us, Rutherford opened the team after the kitchen, unity, flexibility and mishaps emphasizing learning about the mentality. Gujarat Titans may have come across the latest conflicts with Lucknow super giants, but Sherfane Rutherford insists that the soul in the dressing room is far from fracture.
Speaking only after the loss, Rutherford shared sincere information about how the team works and directed them to playoffs.
“As a team that we have won and lost together. So, as a team, we discuss where we go wrong and do better. So, losing is not a problem, because there is always learning. It is not about winning a jack, so we will not play a bad game and we will not play a bad game.
The Titans’s over -middle fight showed Grit, but a few wrong steps in critical moments cost them. However, Rutherford reminds the fans that mishaps are part of the game. This unchanging belief is something that Gujarat Titans have built their identities since they entered IPL. Whether he returns from early losses or keeps calm under pressure, GT’s power lies in his collective mindset.
As the playoffs approach, the Titans will try to sharpen their executions while protecting the spirit that brings them to success. The journeys so far proved that they could excite the jack and, more importantly, they could return when it was most important.
As Rutherford rightly said, this is never about falling; More powerful about rising. Gujarat may have fallen against LSG, but the hunger of return burns and the next section promises to be equally violent.
