A new rule proposed in a day cricket ..

The International Cricket Council (ICC) reportedly considering the implementation of a new rule in one -day international (ODI). The ICC Cricket Committee, headed by Sourav Ganguly, proposed to use a single ball along an inning and changed the current rule of using two new balls.

Currently, ODI matches include the use of two new balls – one of both ends – a total of four new balls used in both Inning. The ball is also changed after 25 sea. However, in previous times, only one ball was used for all inning. This provided more control to the pottery by allowing the ball to aging, especially helping to release and helped spin bowls.

After the introduction of the current rule containing two new balls, the stroke conditions became more appropriate and reduced the effectiveness of the pottery pots. To relieve this imbalance, the ICC Cricket Committee has now proposed to return to previous applications of using a single ball for each hit. The final decision on this proposal is expected to be held during ongoing ICC meetings in Zimbabve.
