Report: Removing the intermediate tag for Kings Doug Christie

ESPN reported that Sacramento Kings made a perennial agreement to make Doug Christie a new head coach.

54-year-old Christie finished 2024-25 season as temporary coaches and Mike Brown compiled a 27-24 record after being fired at the end of December.

According to the report, Andy Miller from Christie’s agent Klutch Sports negotiated a new full -time contract with the new Kings General Manager Scott Perry this week.

When Christie took over, Sacramento, who was 13-18, lost to Dallas Mavericks in a game game.

Christie, who participated in Kings as an assistant coach in 2021, played for 15 seasons in the NBA, including 355 matches for Sacramento between 2000-05.
