Hit to Auburn Wing Chad Baker-Mazara Transfer Portal

Auburn GUARD/FORWARD Chad Baker-Mazara announced on Thursday that it will enter the transfer portal and play the last year of university basketball elsewhere.
Baker-Mazara had two seasons in Auburn and it was an important component in Tigers’s Final Four team last season.
“First I thank God for blessing God with the opportunity to do what I love, but I would like to thank my teammates, coaching staff and Auburn family for incredible support for the last two years!” Baker-Mazara wrote on a social media post.
The decision means that Auburn must replace the five starters between 2024-25. Johni Broome, Denver Jones, Dylan Cardwell and Miles Kelly were out of conformity.
Baker-Mazara is now 25-year-old, but he is taking advantage of a temporary waiver that allows the athletes-Bakers-Mazara, who plays for a year outside NCAA, to have an additional season for Junior College-Ncaa.
Baker-Mazara played a season in Duquesne and San Diego before 2022-23 in the northwest Florida province. In 119 career matches at the Division I level, an average of 9.7 points per game, 2.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steals.
The best season was 2024-25, where he put 12.3 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game, where 38 matches started for the tigers.
Auburn (32-6) spent most of the season in the AP survey and won the NCAA tournament in the NCAA tournament before losing the SEC rival and final national champion at Final Four.
