What is the crypto currency world map?

The map visualizes the search for search for different money by the country with the data obtained from Google trends.

Google Trends normalizes search data to facilitate comparisons between terms. As a result, 60% for Bitcoin and 15% for Ethereum, which means that the search volume for “bitcoin” is four times higher than “Ethereum”.

Key Inferences (2021)

• Bitcoin “search domination” fell from 80% to 60% in 2021, but is still the most sought -after crypto currency in all countries.
• “Ethereum” is 2 worldwide numbers, and in the US, “Dogecoin”, “Ethereum ı had almost twice as much as a search volume.

• Bitcoin is the most sought -after money in all countries. This is not a surprise.
• The market value ranking does not reflect the search volume ranking. Dogecoin is not at the top 30, for example, with market value. Nevertheless, it is placed in the top 10 of the crypto currencies sought.
• South America seems to be the most “Bitcoin Maximalist” continent and 4 countries do the top 10.
• Asia seems most open to other crypto currencies. (Or maybe they only confirm the gambling stereotype 😉).
• Germany stands out as the only country in the world that is more interested in IOTA than Ethereum.

Why some money is lost?

The search for “Terra”, “Shiba Inu” or “Çokgen” is uncertain, because people seek these terms in different contexts. “Tron” can be overly represented in data due to Tron and Audi E-Tron Film

In addition, money with insufficient search volume (<1%) compared to Bitcoin is missing.
