Major League baseball season was about a month, so enough games were played to determine who was a disappointing start. This is not just a bad – although it helps – not to define, but also we need to take into account the expectations, the latest results and what kind of contract value for the player for the player.

They played only a month in 2025, but as Yogi Berra said: it is too early there. The players who need to take soon, or they will continue to make lists like this:

Aaron Nola, Philadelphia Phillies, SP
Nola, 5.40 ERA and 4.56 ERA (per Fangrophs) and the first six at the beginning of the 0-5 record-phillies won the latest appearance. Nola, who was 32 years old in June, allowed two home runs at three different beginnings. He is in his second year Seven -year, 172 million dollars of contract.

Yiner Diaz, Houston Astros, C
Diaz has been one of the top three or four -hitting caught in the league since 2023, but on Tuesday. The others in the series Yordan Alvarez and Astros began slowly, but this is not sluggish.

Triston Casas, Boston Red Sox, 1b
Casas hit .185/.279/.315 with three home runs in the first 104 plate view, and the manager Alex Cora reduced it to the sixth or seventh level during a stroke. Casas, which entered 2025, produced approximately 25 percent better than the league average with 45 Homer in the 840 plate view (.250/.357/.473).

Marcus Semien, Texas Rangers, 2B

Rangers took action with the most anemic crime on Tuesday with the runs scored in the league and Semien did not help. Although he bought three singles against Athletics on Tuesday night, he hit .155/.226/.223 with two home runs in 115 plates. In 2021, because it was full -time, José Altuve and Ktel Marte had more attacks than Semien at his second base.

Willy Adames, San Francisco Giants, SS
Adames produced approximately 11 percent of the league average (.243/.320/.454) of the league average for five seasons before signing a $ 182 million free agent agreement in Offseason. So far, the consequences for giants have little: .212/.286/. Oracle Park is a challenging basketball court for right -handed shots, but even for this, the Adames produces 30 percent of the league average.

Alec Bohm, Philadelphia Phillies, 3B
In 2024, Bohm reached .280/.332/.448 with 97 RBI in the 606 plate view and produced about 10 percent of the league average in the last two seasons. In 2025, one of the worst strikes in the league cuts with only three walks for a zero house run and a mediocre Phillies crime .221/.252/.274.

Cody Bellinger, New York Yankees, LF

Bellinger grumbled on Tuesday night and doubled, and it’s probably about to warm up. However, with two homer and 107 plate appearance .118 isolated with a force. Yankees will need more – and they will probably get it soon – but it was a bad start.

Anthony Santander, Toronto Blue Jays, RF
Blue Jays finally reduced Santander to an agreement with a free agent and did not show that he was worth it yet. 123 plates with three home running .174/.260/.294 hits. The average output rate was typical for him, but he hits more than normal. Probably working hard to be worth $ 92.5 million.

Luis Robert Jr., Chicago White Sox, CF
Now Robert is disappointing for the two seasons. A host ran, made a walk and stole a base on Tuesday, but still in the view of 115 plate .158/.283/.305. If the 27 -year -old and White SOX does not receive $ 20 million for 2027 and 2027, it can be a free agent after this season. It’s hard to understand why it’s so bad. In 2023, 38 Homer and 20 stolen bases leeched .542.

Vinnie Pasquantino, Kansas City Royals, DH

With three home running in 120 plate view. Pasquantino expressed his concern that he shook the bat very quickly. According to MLB Statcast, the bat rate jumped out of the 45th percentile to 84 and wonders that hard swinging may be less effective. The previous 1,112 career plate appearance, produced about 15 percent better than the league average.

Devin Williams, New York Yankees, CL
It is no longer closer – at least for now. Williams took two steps, a Fastball in a change and four breads, and both were not effective. The change was often one of the best fields in the league, but it was not better than being neutral. This decrease in effectiveness may be linked to a decrease in fastball rate falling from 61th to 40th.
