Brad Lord, visiting Washington Nationals on Thursday, 4-2 wins Philadelphia Phillies against a three-game scan against a three-match scan for the first career for his first career.

Lord (1-3), a 25-year-old rookie, allowed two runs and six strokes with a walk and four strikes. Jose Ferrer made two strokes before giving way to the eighth Jorge Lopez and the ninth to Kyle Finnegan.
