Scottie Scheffler woke up on Sunday with a realistic chance to come from behind and win another master. After going out of this photo, Rory McILOY had no problem in taking a supportive role on the big day.

As the champion of Augusta National last year, Scheffler made his honor to help McILOY for a long -awaited green jacket in butler Cabin.

Scheffler, Hilton Head Island this week, SC’deki RBC heritage on Tuesday told reporters, “At that moment, as it was such an emotional day, I just tried to stay away from the road and embarrass the jacket.”

Scheffler described McILOY as a “good friend” and the duo met to manage PGA Tour in recent years. Scheffler continues to be the number 1 player in the world golf ranking, which was once a McILOY and won four main branches before a 11 -year drought between 2011 and 2014.

Therefore, the two have common perspectives.

Scheffler, “It was really great for me to see because I have the owner – I don’t understand what it’s like to be asked about Career Grand Slam, but I don’t understand what it’s like to be asked, ‘Hey, you succeeded, but you didn’t do it,’ he said. “Sometimes there may be a lot of taxation for people.

“It was great to see Rory’s work was done. It certainly seemed more relaxing from outside to the outside. Rory has accomplished everything in the golf game, and this was really the last thing for him to succeed. Maybe the Fedex Cup, the players, the four main branches. Maybe the Olympics.”

Scheffler’s final round 69 brought him to 8 under 5 during the week to finish him fourth. He told him how they felt that he and Caddy Ted Scott were in a mixture up to the 18th hole, that he fought behind McILOY and that the British Justin rose in front of only two shots.

Scheffler, “Last week I live there in 18 Fairway and Rosie was 10 years old. I am going to myself,” I go to this needle. I will try to drill this. I lost ‘you are like. I didn’t win, you are lost, whatever. “

“I was looking at Teddy and ‘Okay, Teddy, I think I will target in the middle of green now.’ ‘Yes, let’s target the middle of the green.’ ‘

28 -year -old Scheffler asked McILOY’s usual answer when he asked if his victory inspired him.

“Was it very nice to watch Rory win Grand Slam? Of course it was.” “But my life is increasingly trying to stay today. So I’m focused on this week and I’m going to prepare for my next tournament when I get home next week.

“At the end of the day, my motivation is completely internal. Is it really great to see that you succeeded? Yes, of course. Of course. Winning Grand Slam, I think this is something that any golfer will imagine, but at the end of the day I try to make the best use of myself.”

Scheffler’s current success list includes a dominant 2024 seasons at the Masters, Players Championship, Tour Championship and RBC heritage.

He was tired of winning the masters and every day with his first child, Scheffler came to South Carolina and made a second round of 63 to win the tournament with three strokes through Sahith Theegala.

But now, the Scheffler has been without wine in 2025 for more than three months of the season.

“I was very tired here last week last year and I did a good job to manage myself and how I went on the golf field.” He said. “He will definitely think about how I played and hit here last year to prepare for the event of this week.”
