Chennai Super Kings Head coach Stephen Fleming believes that fast bowling player Anshul Kamboj would be a great contribution to the Indian Cricket team for the Testing Series approaching England. Following the CSK’s match against Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2025, Fleming said that Kamboj’s deceptive tempo and the ability to reach the right lengths may be very useful in English conditions. BCCI selections are expected to choose this week by following a few questions about Muhammad Shami’s fitness.
“Camboj is good. The speeds are around 138-139 (kmph). Deceptive and the ball always seems to be hitting the gloves more. The great power is his length and you have seen it to shake this year’s ball.
Kamboj was named a squad for two matches against England Lions in India, and will probably take part in the Squad match against the senior team. A good show in the matches can be very important for the future as it can get a chance in the test series against England.
“There will be an absolute handful (under English conditions). It has a real potential with both white and red balls. We are happy with its development and the opportunity this year.” He said.
“He showed great temperament under pressure. But what really excites me is how well he controls the ball when the circumstances gave him some help. This is hard to teach – he comes with instinct and there,” he added.
