The Canary Capital applied for a water ETF (the stock market designed fund) with the US Securities and Stock Exchange Commission (SEC).
March 17 at Form S-1 filing The US regulator and the crypto investment company Canary Sui ETF asked to list. The filing did not contain information about which change of the proposed ETF to be taken into the process or what the recommended tick symbol would be.

US President Donald Trump said he plans to relieve regulatory implementation against the field of digital assets. This promise led to the hurry of the new crypto ETF files with SEC. However, the SEC has chosen to delay the decision making in several crypto ETF files.
Commissioner Hester Pierce said that in February, the US regulator expects the election of President Trump Paul Atkins before progressing with the crypto agenda.
After a few delays due to financial explanations, a Senate approval for Atkins was reported on March 27.

Canary Sui ETF filing is coming less than 2 weeks after SUI announced on March 6 that the Trump family has established a partnership with Liberty Financial. As part of the partnership, the defi platform includes the water coin in the “Macro Strategy” token reserve.
