Celtics' Jrue Holiday won the second athlete award

Boston Celtics Guard Jrue Holiday won the NBA Sportsman Award for the second time on Thursday.

34-year-old Holiday had previously received the Joe Dumars cup with Milwaukee Bucks for the 2020-21 season.

The award, which has been presented since 1995-96, is going to the player who best represented the ideals of sportsmanship in court.

After each team nominated a player, a league manager selected a finalist from each department. The current NBA players then voted for the winner.

The holiday received a total of 134 first votes and 3,046 points in the vote. Jarrett Allen from Cleveland Cavaliers (56 first vote, 2,704 points) came second and Kyrie Irving from Dallas Mavericks (93, 2.640).

The holiday is also the finalist for the TWYMAN-STOKES team-mate of the year three times and the 2024-25 NBA Social Justice Champion Award. All-Star twice, the NBA champion twice and the Olympic Gold Medal twice.
