The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) plans to have a conference with players, coaches, national selections and mentors during or after the Pakistan Super League (PSL) to “solve some internal problems” in the national team. A source said on Thursday that PCB President Mohsin Naqvi is not satisfied with all stakeholders to be handled by all stakeholders so far. Source, “in recent months, the team’s captains, coaches and selections have been a lack of appropriate communication, and this, ODI and Test Captles, Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood, including senior players, election and other team issues, led to being happy in decisions.” He said.
He said that Rizwan had conveyed a message to the president to meet with players and discuss problems.
Apparently, Rizwan has recently been rejected by Temporary Head Coach Aaqib Javed and selections on election and team strategy.
“PCB president will probably discuss the problems in the team with senior players, selections, coaches, relevant board officials and mentors.”
A similar exercise was conducted by the PCB, in which some senior players explicitly questioned the performance of some senior players and expressed their concerns about NOC policy for foreign leagues.
The PCB also has to call PSL’s new international home season with a series against Bangladesh before the PSL ends or after the end of the PSL.
The PCB should decide whether the AAQIB will make a permanent head trainer in all formats or to appoint new coaches.
