South Africa jricket legend EU de Villiers, golf friend Christiaan Bezuidenhout, was bowling at Augusta National on Wednesday.
De Villiers served as Caddy for the 57th place in the three three competitions, played on the eve of the 89th.
De Villiers, “I hit a beautiful little sand wedge there, I found the green, I returned to the front fringe area. I am quite happy.” He said. “I was completely numb. He couldn’t breathe hardly. I’m glad the result.
“Absolute privilege,” he added. “I am happy to be here. I’ve been watching this event since I was three years old. Being with my friend and walking on the golf field.”
Three three competitions give players a relaxing afternoon before the intensity of the first size of the year.
“It was great for me to have one of my friends,” he said.
“We probably knew each other for 10, 12 years. We played a lot of golf together. We played a lot of pro-ams together in South Africa.”
He admits that he will not ask for the same chance in a jack area with DE Villiers and Company.
“I’m really afraid of a jack ball,” he said. “I never played a jack with him. I played a lot of golf with him.”
Bezuidenhout tried to explain Villiers to journalists in terms of Americans could understand and compared him with retired NFL legend Tom Brady.
“Probably not so famous in America, but it is very famous around the world. Like Tom Brady.” He said.
“I’m here, kids. I’m standing here,” De Villiers, who was considered one of the best and most explosive players of his generation by the fans of his generation.
De Villiers spent 14 years in the South African national team and seized them in all three formats of the game and added details about the time he spent in the Indian Premier League (IPL) T20 competition.
“For a long time in IPL.” He said. “A good cricket legend around the world. I am honored to call him a friend.”
De Villiers, in 2022 Augusta National, the highest -level defense champion Scottie Scheffler’s first great title, he said.
