. International Cricket Council (ICC) Pomona welcomed the announcement of the fairgrounds in Southern California as a cricket place in Olympic games. Los Angeles 2028 (La28).
La28 will take part in the Cricket competition, each of the men and women competitions, each will take part in six teams and will indicate the return of the sport to games after 128 years.
ICC President Mr. Jay Shah welcomed the venue approval and expressed his desire to work jointly with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to ensure the success of Cricket in games.
ICC President Jay Shah said, “We are glad to announce the announcement of the cricket place in Los Angeles 2028, because an important step to prepare for our sport for the return of the Olympics.
“Although the jack is an extremely popular sport, it is fast, exciting T20 formatIt should appeal to new audiences and provide a great opportunity to expand traditional boundaries.

In 1900, Cricket, which appeared in the Paris Games for the previous Olympic, was included in the Los Angeles Olympics after an IOC meeting in Mumbai in October 2023.
Cricket participates in five new sports in LA28 – baseball/volleyball, flag football, lacros (six) and squash.
The T20 format, known as a tool for the growth of the game by ICC, has been involved in other multiple sports events in recent years.
The Asian games in 2010, 2014 and 2023 participated in both male and female T20 competitions, while Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games organized a women’s competition.
