Cricket legend Dr. The most honorable desmond Haynes assigned to ICC Men’s Cricket Committee

St John’s, Antigua – Cricket West Indian Islands (CWI), Dr. He is pleased to announce that Dr.’s most honorable desmond Haynes was appointed to the ICC Men’s Cricket Committee and that the region maintains its strong representation on this influential organ.
Haynes is joining the committee after the completion of the term of office of Roger Harper, a versatile and respected cricket manager of the former West Indian Islands. In this prestigious committee, the appointment maintains its existence of powerful West Indian Islands and reflects the ongoing effect of the Caribbean cricket at the highest levels of sports governance. Haynes, who recently served as chief selective for West Indian Islands Men’s teams from January 2022 to June 2024, brings this important role to this important role.

The ICC Men’s Cricket Committee operates as a sub -committee of the Chief Managers Committee and focuses on issues related to the playing of international jack. It plays an important role in advice on various aspects of the game, including the handling of the body, cricket laws, game conditions, insulting standards, technology application and illegal bowling actions.
The Committee is chaired by at least 30 test matches or national captain experience supported by 12 additional members, including former and existing international players, referees, referees, team coaches, board members, common nations and representatives of the media. Members serve the three -year periods and there is a possibility of re -election for three consecutive terms.
About Demond Haynes
Haynes, a West Indies legend, played 116 test matches that seized the team at four of these games. He also played at 238 One Day International (ODI) for the regional party between 1978 and 1994. In the tests, including 18 centuries, 7,487 jogging and 8,648 jogging, including 17 centuries.
Haynes, one of the most challenging opening partnerships in the history of Cricket with Barbadian Sir Gordon Greenidge, was an integral part of the West Indian Islands team, which won the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 1979.
