BCCI Central contracts will be released this week, 3 new faces will be added

Last year, BCCI announced its central contracts in late February and was elected 30 players.
The Cricket Control Board in India (BCCI) will announce central contracts for the next 2025-26 season until the end of the existing week. BCCI was a little late, thinking that they had published contracts in February last year. BCCI seems to have gathered in Indian Cricket Team Support Personnel and player contracts at the same time.
Today, we heard that in the early hours of India’s assistant coach Abhishek Nayar was dismissed before the UK tour. Now, according to Cricbuzz, central contracts will soon be released.
Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana will be awarded
Previously, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah will be kept in A+. The new information tells us that three new players will have BCCI central contracts. These will be Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy and Harshit Rana.
All three of them made their exit after the last contracts were announced. According to BCCI Directives, “Athletes who meet at least three tests or eight ODI or 10 T20 playing criteria within the specified period will automatically be included in Class C.
The evaluation time of these matches is usually between October and September. Abhishek has played 17 T20 for India since its first release. Nitish Kumar has 5 test matches and 4 T20 under the belt. Therefore, both are entitled.
As for Harshit, he played only 8 matches (2 tests, 5 ODI and 1 T20i) and does not qualify in a single format, but a contract can be made considering that he plays in three forms.
Varun Chakaravarthy & Shreyas Iyer Return
Varun Chakaravarthy and Shreyas Iyer are also expected to return. Shreyas, the BCCI central contract last year due to some problems with the Board was rejected. As for Chakaravarthy, he returned to the Indian team last year and played 4 ODI and 18 T20. Shreyas was the best dough of India in 2025 champions Trophy.
