Joel Dahmen Up 3 Colas Puntacana enters the final round

Joel Dahmen, who has been leading the field since the first round, hit a 71 below 71 on a windy Saturday, and three shots will take the lead in the last round of the Corales Puntacana Championship in Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic.
Dahmen added two out of the first five holes to Bogeyed and the most challenging tour of the weekend, but finished with four birds and sits at 17 under 199.
“It was definitely a challenge,” Dahmen said. “It is always hard to deal with a bigger bullet.
Chan Kim (69), Michael Thorbjornsen (70) and Garrick Higgo (70) of South Africa are under 202.
Kim Par-5 third hole Bogeyed, but the Par-5 returned to buy a eagle in the fourth hole and added a pair of birds to stay at a striking distance.
Kim, “At 4, there is a really good driving and hit 7-aircraft, you know, at that point, because the wind of the down, we only think that the rear edge is a great shot, then the chip will return to the wind.” He said. “Somehow it was quite beautiful and bought Putt to read it really well. Yes, so it was a pleasant surprise when we got there.”
Thorbjornsen opened his tour with three birds in the first four holes, but he stumbled with double Bogays in the Par-4 fifth hole and Par-4 eighth hole. A triple bird returned at the back nine, notching.
“It was very difficult, Thor Thorbjorns said. “He really made a warm start, under four of the 3. Nothing was guaranteed or given here. I doubling there, but even though I was under the age of 3, it will be difficult all day.”
At the age of 66, the low round of the day ranked fifth with Vince Whaley Ben Martin (67) and Germany’s Jeremy Paul (67). While searching for the first PGA tour victory, Whaley crossed a Bogey in the fourth hole with seven birds, including three of the four holes in the front.
“I think the kids are very good,” Whaley said. “I know that this is the opposite field event or whatever it is, but everyone is very good, you should go there and still attack. Tomorrow will be even more windy, but no slowing, you should continue and see how low you can go.”
