Defense of revolution remains stingy, the gap Toronto FC

Carles Gil and Leo Campa scored the first half and led the New England Revolution to 2-0 in front of Toronto FC on Saturday.

With victory, New England (5-4-1, 16 points) extended the win series up to four games. The Revs also have four consecutive clean layers and delivered only seven goals in 10 games.

New England goalkeeper Aljaz Ivacic made two savings to protect the clean page.

Toronto (1-6-4, 7 points) lost matches in a row and this season in five home matches (0-3-2) -Reds' last home win in September 2024.

Sean Johnson saved the loss four.

Gil scored a goal in the 11th minute, finished a cross from Ilay Feingold and made a left -foot strike for the contribution of the sixth goal in many games.

New England won the first place in four flat games.

Toronto almost responded from the Alonso Coello corner in the 19th minute, but Campana cleared Sigurd's title from the goal line.

Ola Brynhildsen had an opportunity after five minutes, but the strike on the right side of the box returned to almost wide.

In the 27th minute, Campana doubled Revs's leadership and ran the right foot strike by crossing a diving Johnson.

Ignatius Ganago made 3-0 during the stopping time in the first half, but Johnson stretched his strike on the bar.

Before starting, Reds signed a short -term agreement for Michael Sullivan, Toronto FC II midfielder Michael Sullivan.

Reds Captain Jonathan Osorio missed his first match because of a dislocated shoulder.

Saturday was the first of the two meetings between the eastern conference clubs. Toronto visits New England on September 13th.

Toronto won both meetings last season and won 1-0 victory on March 3 and 20 April.

Reds finished four -game home stands against Cincinnati next Saturday, while the cycles completed three away matches in Orlando next weekend.
