Delhi Capitals Mentor breaks silence in Harry Brook, the England star given to IPL Ban for two years

Delhi Capitals (DC) mentor and former British cricket Kevin Pietersen, the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season withdrawn from the young UK Passer Harry Brook'un disappointed. Pietersen said Brook had technical flaws on the lower continent and hoped to help the 26 -year -old child to develop. Brook was purchased by DC for 6.25 Crore at IPL Mega Auction last year, but withdrew before the season began and showed the need to “charging itself” before a busy season. Almost a month later, Brook was appointed as the new white ball captain of the UK, and after the team's bad performances in the last ICC tournaments, it replaced the Jos Buttler.

Brook also jumped last year's IPL for personal reasons – the death of his grandmother, and missed England's India tour. According to the IPL rules, now two years of withdrawal was banned from joining the league for two years.

In IPL 2023, Brook played for Sunrisers Hyderabad and made 190 runs in 11 games at 22.11. The only big hit was a century against Kilkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Speaking with Espncricinfo, Pietersen said that Brook was painful in a painful manner when he wanted to work with him to correct his technical flaws while playing spin in India.

“I said to him, 'Dude, I shouted that I couldn't work with you for a few months.' I think it's a star … A ball from the extra lid and next, the same ball, if you can not play through Midwicket, '' he said.

“He can play properly, but especially in India – there are technical flaws on the substance. I really wanted to work with him, but people make their own choices in life and you should respect them. A great flaw in India – a real big flaw. Two months, imagine what might happen when he corrects it?”

Brook's general record in India is 310 running in 14 games with an average of 22.14, two half centuries and the best 66. This includes his performance in the 2023 Cricket World Cup.

Earlier this year, during the Son Odi and the T20I series, Brook fought against Spin and only 141 runs in Eight Inning. In all of the five T20Is, he was dismissed by the yarns – by Chakravarthy three times by Chakravarthy and twice by Ravi Bishnoi.

Pietersen said he hoped to help Brook as he did with Joe Root and Jonny Bairstow in his early days.

“Root turned out to be Spin England's biggest player so far.

In all formats, Pietersen broke a perfect record in India, and three centuries and 13 fifty and 13 fifty -45.75 runs in 36 games. The best score was 186 in a test match in Mumbai in 2012.

Meanwhile, Delhi capitals are now in the fifth place on the IPL scores table with six wins and four losses. The next matches are against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Haydarabad on Monday.
