What inspired you to get a leg spin? I was the player who started a ball at the beginning, but there was very little opportunity. All my coaches said I had to make a bowl of OSPIN, but I didn’t like Off-Spin. The cricket in Delhi is so fast that if you bow down the Osspin, you can make a maximum of 2-3 overseas bowls. There is Delhi Premier League (DPL) Is it important to your development and with IPL talent hunters? Yeah, not just for me, but for all cricketists in Delhi. Many cricketists play very well and DPL is a big platform for them. If they cannot play native crickets for Delhi for a reason, they can perform well at DPL and also attract the attention of IPL franchises. I bought 14 small doors in DPL. I felt I had to get more.
How did Idol Sunil feel to reject your Narine? It was a very special moment in my life. I had to make a bowl on PowerPlay, but I didn’t have the opportunity to match it. I have prepared a strategic installation for Narine because they are extraordinary good bats. My plan was to take it to PowerPlay, but I felt it would be easier to refuse it later when I didn’t make a bowl at that time. Even though he is a player who hit a good ball, I really admire bowling.
You celebrated it in an aggressive way when Punjab Kings Priyansh AryaFuck … If I had bowling to him as I usually did, I knew I wouldn’t be able to take it out. So the day before, I spent an hour with (LSG) coach Justin Langer and Vijay Dahiya Sir and developed a new variation because I knew that Priyansh would read my Google. He’s a talented player. I decided that one ball would move away and the other would be a Googly. I took him out like this.
How do you think the success in IPL will change your career? I just want to continue doing what I did. I love learning new things. I enjoy living at that moment. I don’t even like watching past matches. I don’t look back or I don’t find my own bowling attractive. I don’t like social media. I just want to perform well for my team.
