Cricket is ready to make a return at the 2028 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles that ends the 128 -year Olympic drought! Organizers confirmed that each of the six teams will compete in male and female categories.
Each staff will consist of 15 players and will bring a total of 180 cricketists to the global scene – 90 men and 90 women.
Cricket participates in four new sports that exit Olympic or returns in LA 2028: baseball/volleyball, flag football, lakros (in six format) and zucchini.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) currently has 12 full member states, including 94 joint Nations, including power centers such as India, Australia and the UK. However, only six teams in each gender category will make a shot at Olympic Gold. The United States will be able to take automatic qualification as a host country, and the remaining five nests will go through a qualification process that will be announced.
The only Olympic appearance of Crickket has returned in 1900 during the Paris Games, which he remembered as a more informal test than the Olympic fixture, where Great Britain defeated France in a two-day match.
