Liv Golf Member Dustin Johnson will participate in the PGA championship at the Quail Hollow Club on the NC, NC, Charlote of the next week, according to the list of participants announced on Tuesday.
Johnson is a big winner twice that appeared in the 2016 US Open and 2020 Masters Tournament. The master’s victory allowed him to participate in the next five PGA championships, regardless of the competence status, but this exemption ended last year.
The inclusion of Johnson on the field means that the American PGA, which controls the event, has received a special exemption. Johnson’s best PGA end came second in both 2019 and 2020.
40 -year -old Johnson finished the top 10 of the two LIV events this season, but in April he missed the segment in Masters. Since he joined the LIV circuit, he has won 24 times in PGA Tour before adding three more titles.
Other Liv Golf members listed in the field include Bryson Dechambeau, Sergio Garcia, Tyrrell Hatton, Phil Mickelson, Patrick Reed and Cameron Smith.
