“Families should travel”: Cheteshwar Pujara puts BCCI’s dictat under the browser

In India, the Cricket Control Board (BCCI) Dictat was widely criticized for the restriction of family members’ access to Team Hotel during the tour. After the Australian tour of India lost 1-3, BCCI released a 10-point guide. However, recently, Virat has expressed disappointment and stressed the importance of his loved ones close to them, especially in overseas tours.

Cheteshwar Pujara also supports Kohli.

“I can say that families should travel. They should be with the players, the window. So, there are times when families are there throughout the series. As a player, you know, professionally, you want to join your application sessions. So there must be a window,” he said. First pole.

“Normally what most of the teams do is that there is a window of two or three weeks in a long round. So if you move away from the house for 40 days, there is three weeks that families can travel. This is the best way to balance it, because if the coaching staff or management travels, the players may not focus enough,” he added.

“But if you have a suitable window that families can travel to balance, and at the same time, if you go there early for preparation, players are only focusing on the preparation part. And then you have three weeks of windows that families can travel when it starts.” He said.

During the recent Champions Cup, players such as Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja and Muhammad Shami had their families in Dubai, but did not stay at the team hotel. The costs of staying were not covered by players, not BCCI.
