GAUTAM GAMBHİR GREAT ACCEPTANT BEFORE THE NEW CAPTAIN ANNOUNCEMENT: “EASY TO WORK …”

Team India Chief Coach Gautam Gambhir prefers a captain for all three formats, but in the modern jack, he acknowledges that such a scenario is not possible. Following Rohit Sharma’s test retirement, BCCI will announce from a new captain for format on Saturday, a series of five -games against England from June 20. When Rohit and Virat Kohli retired from tests and T20Is, Gambhir has more power to call for election, and India has a high chance of having three different captains for each format.

Gambhir would ideally have one captain for three formats, because it is much easier to plan and strategies with a person. However, in addition to IPL, he admitted that it was almost impossible for him to play all three formats throughout the year.

“Ideally, as a coach, if you have a captain for all formats, it is much easier to work with a man, but it would not be difficult because you should notice it at today and age, you cannot play a captain from a captain for 12 months a year. Then you have IPL.

Gambhir added that all format captain can harm the mental health of a young player.

“Imagine that a young man covers the parties for 12 months, which also causes a lot of damage to his mental health and game. Ideally, one, but in today’s day and age, it is better to have two, because this pressure can be distributed and it would be much easier to be free when a player is not caught,” he added.

Although Kohli and Rohit bids the test and T20 format, they will still be available for India in 50 matches of 50.

When asked if the team of the two can be done for the 2027 ODI World Cup, Gambhir said, “Look, it’s still far away. There’s still a T20 World Cup before that’s a big tournament in February-March.”

“So now, now, after the UK, the T20 World Cup will be and November-December 2027 is still two and a half away. And I always said something-if you continue to perform, the age is only one number,” he added.
