Giants to place RHP Justin Verlander (Pector) in IL for 15 days

Director Bob Melvin said that Justin Verlander’s right hand of San Francisco Giants would be placed on the 15 -day wounded list due to the right pectoral injury.

Verlander was thrown with him on Wednesday and the decision was reached. During the session, Verlander could not make a planned start against the host Washington Nationals on Saturday and could not make his next return.

Verlander giants, “Give yourself a blow. Spend 15 days and take it back and get ready to go,” they say.

San Francisco is hopeful that Verlander will only be withdrawn for a short time.
