This completes the dismantling of 64 -year -old USAID, terminates approximately 5,200 contracts, and proceeds with the plan to shift the rest of the USAID to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“As you can imagine, there will be a lot of work to migrate to the operations in a responsible way,” Lewin wrote, “Lewin wrote.

Lewin said that until the end of the official working dates, staff would not get administrative permission, but will be allowed to choose one of the two options in a form to be given to them on Saturday, March 29th.

“Active duty: A significant portion of the agency will be asked to remain in charge to support the success of the operations and the transfer of programs to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If you are interested in being active in this capacity, we will be grateful for your ongoing service.

“Administrative permission: If you prefer to get away and focus on subsequent steps, voluntary administrative leave will be presented. Unless otherwise instructed, all personnel with non -administrative permit notifications may choose to stop and request permission.”
