Google shook the Gemini leadership, Google Labs Head reins

In the heels of publishing the most talented AI model, Google makes some changes in the Gemini team. A New report Semafor has long been showing that Googleer Sissie Hsiao will go through his role leading his Gemini team. Instead, Google is assigning Josh Woodward, who is currently leading Google laboratories.

According to a note of Deepmind CEO Demis Hassabis, this change is designed to “sharpen our focus on the next evolution of Gemini application”. This new responsibility will not remove Woodward from his role in Google Labs – led by the Gemini team, he will be responsible for this episode.

Meanwhile, Hsiao says to employees in a message, Bard’s story is happy with “Chapter 1”, and Woodward is optimistic for “Part 2”. Hsiao will not participate in Google’s AI efforts for now – he chose to take some time before returning to Google with a new role.

Hsiao has been on Google for 19 years and in 2022 to create Google’s Chatbot. At that time, Google was gathering Google after taking the world into the storm using the very transformer architecture that Google initially invented. Initially, the team’s chatbot efforts were known as BARD before 2023 was merged under Gemini brand.

This process was a little slog, Google’s models are slowly healing and entering many popular products at the same time. However, the sensation inside the company is that Gemini returns to a corner with 2.5 Pro. Although this model is still at the experimental phase, it has used other models in academic criteria in the best way and passed them in very important vibrations such as LM Arena.
